PowerPoint Lesson 3
| In collaboration with the homeroom teacher (if possible)
students will be assigned a topic. Students will be assigned the topic,
research the topic, collect images from the Internet for the program and
make a PowerPoint program that explains the topic.
Students will be assessed on the final project with a rubric. Periodic assessment will take place after research and planning. |
Students will research their project, plan the project using a teacher provided planning document, collect images and information off the Internet and produce the final PowerPoint presentation. |
Endangered Species
Create a PowerPoint program about one animal that is an endangered species. The PowerPoint should include information about the following:
First Slide: Common Name and Scientific Name of the animal, student name, teacher and date.
Second Slide: A detailed description of the animal.
Habitat (what type of environment the animal lives in) - need pictures
Range (exactly where in the world the animal lives. - need pictures/maps
What the animal eats.
Why they are endangered
Is any organization trying to save the animal?
Plenty of pictures of the animal
Links from your PowerPoint to websites you used as sources of information
The program may not have any sounds or music.
