intitle and inurl

Create a new Word document. Save it on your H drive as Last_First_intitleinurl8B (last two letters/numbers will change for you)

intitle means that Google will search for whatever words you tell it to in the title of a website.
inurl means that Google will search for whatever words you tell it to in the address of a website.

In this assignment be sure to "print the screen" and insert the picture into your Word

document so you can refer to it when answering the questions.

A. Go to Google.com
B. In the search bar, type in this exact phrase:  intitle:american revolution        Press enter. Print the screen. Paste into your Word document.
C. In the search bar, type in this exact phrase:  intitle:"american revolution"        Press enter. Print the screen. Paste into your Word document.
D. In the search bar, type in this exact phrase: inurl:"american revolution"          Press enter. Print the screen. Paste into your Word document.
E: In the search bar, type in this exact phrase: intitle:"american revolution" inurl:"american revolution"         Press enter. Print the screen. Paste into your Word document.

Copy the following sentences  and paste them into your Word document under the four pictures. Answer each question fully. That means complete sentences.

In B you searched for intitle:american revolution. How many results did you get in B?
In C you searched for intitle:"american revolution"  How many results did you get in C?

Why are the numbers different?

In D you searched for inurl:"american revolution". This searched all the websites in the world and found all of them that have "american revolution" in the website address. How many results did you get?

In E you searched for two things at once; intitle and inurl. How many results did you get?

Why do you get different results when you search on two items at once ( remember: intitle and inurl)?

When all questions are answered fully, save the file and show it to the teacher for a grade.
